In this article,I am going to share with you 3 effective strategies to overcome anxiety and restore your inner peace with meditation services. Mindfulness and meditation are powerful tools for managing anxiety. By focusing on the present moment without judgment, you can reduce stress and increase your sense of calm. Although calm is temporary. And understanding your own mood swings is imperative. Therefore Understanding your triggers is crucial for managing anxiety. Watch this video on how to identify anxiety in yourself and others.

Pay attention to situations, thoughts, or feelings that tend to trigger you. Once you identify your triggers, you can develop strategies to cope with them. Such as:

  • Journaling: Write about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This can help you identify patterns and better deal with triggers
  • Mindful Walking: When something is triggering and you are able to walk this is the best option. Walk it off, walk away, walk so that your mind and emotions have time to process the situation.
  • Becoming Aware of Triggers: Notice the physical sensations associated with anxiety, such as racing heart or sweating. This can help you recognise when you’re starting to feel anxious. And what you can do to calm yourself down.
  • Breathing: Breath through your anxiety. If you are not able to journal or walk, you need to breath. Deep long breathing exercises for anxiety is key.

2. Manage Anxiety with Meditation and Breathing Exercises Every Night

Find the right meditation downloads or meditation app to help you get into a routine of practicing meditation daily. Or rather every night. These nightly meditations will help you get through the work weeks. Practice Monday-Friday. Or as often as you can. Here are some of my favourite apps:

    • Headspace
    • Calm
    • Insight Timer
    • Or you can stream meditations on youtube
    • The easiest practice is to count your breaths for 5 minutes in meditation

3. Utilising Meditation Techniques to Manage Anxiety Attacks

There are many meditation techniques to explore but for anxiety specifically, I have found these beneficial. Especially because you can use them when you are feeling stressed out during work hours.

    • Making a Mudra- Aadi Mudra (primal or fist gesture) helps to maintain mental and emotional stability during stressful situations, especially helpful to calm you down when you feel anxiety lurking
    • Take a walk if you can and count your steps, the rule is 7 steps, if you’ve stepped away for 7 steps or 7 seconds it gives your mind time to process the stressful situation.
    • If you work online practice art therapy for a couple of minutes, grab a piece of paper, and draw a spiral until your mind stops racing.
    • Put pen to paper and let your anxiety run free as you journal.

Addressing Underlying Trauma - Doing the Work

Always be mindful of the advice you read on the internet and check it’s authority. Get a second opinion. Even from a doctor. Especially if you’ve experienced traumatic events, it’s very important to address the underlying trauma with a professional such as a psychologist or counselor.

    • Seeking Professional Help: Consider seeking therapy or counseling to process traumatic experiences and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
    • Meditation combined with therapy is a very powerful medicine that can help your mind be at peace and reach presence daily.
    • Mindfulness practices help you implement healthy coping mechanisms for anxiety triggers and stressful situations
